Will you regret anything 30 years from now?

I’m sitting at gate 153 in LAX waiting to board yet another flight. Two years after my first Eurosummer trip I am now returning to do it all again. Different countries but another 6 weeks of backpacking.
I think about 6 months ago, and how at the time I didn’t think i’d be able to make this trip happen. Life circumstances were standing in the way. But then life adjusted almost magically. I quit my job without a backup and ended up walking into a much better opportunity. Then I walked away from my last relationship and regained my passion for living life to the fullest. I made this trip a priority and was determined to make it happen. Now here I am.
I’ve always believed that we should live life in a way to not have any regrets later on in life. Sometimes I stray from this mindset and get lost along the way but I always gravitate back to exploring the world and following my passions. I truly believe when i’m 50 years old I won’t regret a thing, other than not taking more trips. The thing is though, I try not to let anything hold me back and take all the trips. It’s hard not to hold tight to money and act from a scarcity mindset. Trust me, I know as someone who is financially independent and has to balanced living my life with my responsibilities. But i’ve also learned that money comes and goes. When you hold on too tight, the universe will force you to loosen your grip. Might as well spend it on unforgettable memories.
Somewhere down the line there is a version of you that longs for these days of your 20s. That longs for these long summer days spent with friends, nights clubbing in Europe, and moments where you create stories to tell your grandkids. Don’t let your 20s pass you by as you work towards a system that will fail us. The new American Dream is to see the world. So go out and see it!!!
